Clinical Instructor - Health Careers Academy
Orange-Ulster BOCES is seeking a Clinical Instructor for the Health Careers Academy within the Career and Technical Division. The instructor is responsible for delivering instruction aligned with the New York State-approved Nurse Assistant Program and must abide by all requirements set forth by the clinical facility.  The schedule is Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. following the school calendar.
 
Qualifications:
  • Valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience, with at least one (1) year in long-term care

  • NYS Certification or experience teaching a Nursing Assistant program is required.

 

 

Part Time Clinical Instructor - Fire Science

Orange-Ulster BOCES is seeking a part-time Fire Science Instructor to join the Career and Technical Division.  This position is Monday–Friday, 11:30am - 3:15pm, following the school year calendar.

The Fire Science Instructor would provide students with theory and practical instruction in NYS Basic Exterior Firefighter Operations and Interior Firefighting Operations.  The instructor would lead students toward certification in the Firefighting 1 certification.

Clinical Instructor - Automotive

Orange-Ulster BOCES is seeking a part-time automotive technology instructor to join the Career and Technical Division. This position is Monday–Friday from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, following the school calendar.

The automotive instructor will provide students with instruction in theory and practical applications using the NATEF (National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation) standards and curriculum.  

The automotive instructor would be familiar with NATEF, ASE certification, automotive electronic systems, engine analysis, emission systems, fuel and exhaust systems, suspension, and powertrain systems. 

 

Clinical Instructor - Heavy Equipment

Orange-Ulster BOCES is seeking a Heavy Equipment Instructor to join the Career and Technical Education Division. This position is Monday-Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. following the school calendar. 

The Heavy Equipment Instructor will provide students with theory and practical instruction in the maintenance and operation of the equipment used in the construction industry.  The instructor will provide instruction in the national NCCER certification and training in the OSHA 1- Hour Safety Course. 

Clinical Instructor - Welding
Orange-Ulster BOCES is seeking a Welding Instructor to join the Career and Technical Division. The Instructor is responsible for planning and implementing instruction for beginner welders, artists, crafters and weekend mechanics regarding introduction to welding techniques and procedures.  The ideal candidate will combine technical welding expertise with strong safety knowledge to effectively prepare students for careers in the welding industry while maintaining compliance with all applicable safety regulations. This position is Monday – Friday from 7:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. following the school calendar.
 
Qualifications
The successful candidate must demonstrate comprehensive technical expertise and regulatory knowledge essential for welding instruction, including:
 
Technical Knowledge:
  • Proficiency Welding curriculum standards 
  • Understanding of Welding Technician 1 and/or in current career pathway
Preferred Safety Compliance:
  • OSHA 10-Hour 
  • Knowledge of OSHA welding safety standards and hazard communication protocols
  • Understanding of "Call Before You Dig" (811)
Equipment and Skills:
  • Knowledge and experience with welding equipment, cutting tools, and related machinery used in construction applications
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to provide hands-on clinical instruction in a shop environment to high school students
