Orange-Ulster BOCES is seeking a Heavy Equipment Instructor to join the Career and Technical Education Division. This position is Monday-Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. following the school calendar.
The Heavy Equipment Instructor will provide students with theory and practical instruction in the maintenance and operation of the equipment used in the construction industry. The instructor will provide instruction in the national NCCER certification and training in the OSHA 1- Hour Safety Course.
The successful candidate should have knowledge of NCCER Level 1 and Level 2 curriculum and hold certifications for maintaining and operating heavy equipment used in the construction industry.
Interested candidates may be eligible for a Transitional A certification based on work experience (2-4 years), industry-related credentials, and the completion of additional workshops (Violence Prevention, Child Abuse, and DASA).
