Part Time Clinical Instructor - Nurse Assistant

Orange-Ulster BOCES is seeking a part-time Clinical Instructor for the Nurse Assistant program.  The Nurse Assistant Instructor will assist the teacher in working with students on the fundamentals of patient care, preparing them to become Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and blending classroom lectures with hands-on lab simulations and supervised clinical rotations at local healthcare facilities. 

Must be a NYS Licensed RN with at least 2 years of experience, one of which must be in long term care, and agree to abide by all requirements set forth by the clinical facility.

 

Starting rate $40/hr
Part Time Clinical Instructor - EMS Program

Orange-Ulster BOCES is seeking a part-time Clinical Instructor for the EMS Program.  The EMS Instructor bridges the gap between classroom theory and real-world appliction.  You will assist the teacher in helping students with skill development, evaluate students in live simulations, and help supervise during field rotations on ambulances or in hospital emergency departments.

This position is Monday–Friday, following the school year calendar.

Clinical Instructor - Heavy Equipment

Orange-Ulster BOCES is seeking a Clinical Instructor for Heavy Equipment to join the Career and Technical Education Division. This position is Monday-Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. following the school calendar. 

The Heavy Equipment Instructor will assist the teacher in showing students how to safely operate, diagnose and maintain machinery like excavators and bulldozers.  Work experience in the Heavy Equipment or construction field required.

Clinical Instructor - Construction

Orange-Ulster BOCES is seeking a Clinical Instructor for Construction to join the Career and Technical Education Division. This position is Monday-Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. following the school calendar. 

The Construction Instructor bridges the gap between industry experience and education.  They will assist the teacher in showing students essential trades — such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and blueprint reading — while preparing them for industry certification like OHSA.  Work experience in the construction field is required.

Occupational Teacher Aide- Dental Program

The role of the Occupational Aide is to assist the Dental Program teacher with student learning. Work is performed under the direct supervision of a certified teacher, counselor or administrator in accordance with established procedures. Performs related work as required in order to ensure the most productive learning environment for the students. This position will follow the school calendar and a Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:00p.m. schedule.

Law Enforcement Teacher

Orange-Ulster BOCES is seeking a full-time Law Enforcement Teacher to join the Career and Technical Education division.  The Law Enforcement Teacher instructs high school students in criminal justice, police science, and public safety.  The role bridges industry experience and academics, focusing on practical skills training, civil service exam preparation, and foundational coursework for careers in policing, corrections, and security.

Orange-Ulster BOCES is seeking a part-time Electrical Teacher to join the Career and Technical Education division.  The Electrical Teacher instructs high school students in residential and commercial wiring, circuitry, motor controls, and electrical safety.  They prepare future electricians for industry certifications and entry-level trade positions.

Orange-Ulster BOCES is seeking a part-time Welding Teacher to join the Career and Technical Education division.  The Welding Teacher instructs high school students in hands-on metal fabrication, safety protocols, and welding processes.  They prepare students for industry certifications and post-graduation careers.

Work Based Learning Coordinator

Orange - Ulster BOCES is seeking a Work Based Learning Coordinator to join the Career and Technical Education (CTE) division.  The Work Based Learning Coordinator bridges the gap between the classroom and the industry.  They manage paid or unpaid student internships, cooperative education programs, and apprenticeships.  Responsibilities include developing employer partnerships, ensuring legal compliance with the state child labor laws, and evaluating student progress through onsite visits.   

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday, 10-month position that follows the student calendar.

School Social Worker

Orange - Ulster BOCES is seeking a School Social Worker to join the Career and Technical Education (CTE) division.  The CTE Social Worker supports students in vocational programs, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry readiness by providing clinical counseling, crisis intervention, and case management to overcome personal and socio-emotional barriers. 

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday, 10-month position that follows the student calendar.

School Secretary

Orange-Ulster BOCES is seeking a School Secretary to join the Career and Technical Education Center. This work involves the responsibility for varied secretarial and office management functions of a routine nature. This position is distinguished from Senior Typist and typist by the fact that the duties and responsibilities are more diversified in nature allowing for greater opportunity to exercise judgment in completion of secretarial duties. The incumbent acts as a secretary to an administrator or administrators. Work is performed under general supervision and may involve leading and directing the work of subordinate clerical employees. Involves public and student contact. Does related work as required.

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:

Uses words processing software or typewriters to prepare correspondence, reports, discipline, notifications, newsletters, vouchers, or other materials from clear copy, rough draft or recorded dictation;

Maintain student records and personnel files utilizing computer database;

Prepares daily attendance reports

Composes correspondence upon verbal direction of the Principal;

Attends to operation of the administrative office including budget preparation, billing and other fiscal matter and requisitioning and control of supplies;

Maintains master calendar for school including use of building by outside groups;

Calls and arranges for substitutes;

Monitors petty cash account and tracks purchase order activity;

Answers telephones, providing routine information and directing calls to appropriate offices;

Operates a variety of office equipment including copiers, fax machines, computers and peripheral equipment.

Substitute Teacher positions are available in our Career and Technical Education division in all content areas. 

Monday - Friday, 7:45am- 3:15pm

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis throughout the 2026-2027 school year.

$125/Day (Non-Certified), $158.87/Day (Certified)
