We are seeking a Teacher of the Blind and Visually Impaired to provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments. Orange-Ulster BOCES provides the foundation and knowledge that enables its students to venture forth in any direction they choose. Students served (K-12) include individuals with significant developmental and intellectual disabilities, social/emotional needs, behavior management needs and/or learning differences. What You Bring to the Team - Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid NYS Certification in Special Education is required (SWD B-2, 1-6, or All Grades OR Dual Certification SWD 7-12 with ELA, Math, Science or Social Studies)
- Experience preparing and delivering meaningful instruction based on students’ assessed needs, IEP goals, and motivational levels.
- A passion for continuous learning and professional development.
