ESL Instructors for Adults ages 21 and Older

ESL instructors for Adult Education provide instruction in the areas of reading, writing, listening, and 

speaking. Teachers incorporate civics education within the ESL curriculum and implement 

differentiated instruction to meet the needs of a variety of English Language Learner levels. 

Instructors are responsible for maintaining accurate attendance records and ensuring their students 

are post tested in a timely fashion in accordance with the NYSED post testing schedule. 

 

Part time, Monday - Friday

HSE Instructor for Adults ages 21 and Older

High School Equivalency instructors for Adult Education provide instruction in the areas of ELA, 

science, social studies, and math to prepare students for all subtest areas of the GED exam. 

Teachers differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a variety of learners ages 21 and older. 

Instructors are responsible for maintaining accurate attendance records and ensuring their students 

are post tested in a timely fashion in accordance with the NYSED post testing schedule.

Part Time Electrical Instructors (Level 1 & 2)

The Level 1 instructors will introduce students to the electrical trade, electrical safety, electrical circuits, electrical theory, introduction to the National Electrical Code, device boxes, hand bending, raceways and fittings, conductors and cables, basic electrical construction, residential electrical services and electrical test equipment. 

Level 2 instructors introduce students to alternating current, motor theory and application, electric lighting, conduit bending, pull and junction boxes, conductor installations, cable trays, conductor terminations and splices, grounding and bonding, circuit breaker and fuses, control systems and fundamentals. 

Electrical instructors are responsible for teaching the curriculum, maintaining accurate attendance records, and ensuring student safety protocols. 

Days varies 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm.
