High School Equivalency instructors provide remedial instruction in the four component areas of the GED exam: Reading and Writing, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Instructors implement differentiated instruction according to each student's unique learning needs, maintain accurate attendance and testing records, administer the TABE 11/12 assessment and Readiness assessment, along with assisting students with applications for the GED exam.
Substitute instructors follow the instructor's emergency lesson plan and if none available, are prepared to support instruction with their own lessons. Substitute instructors are also responsible for ensuring students to sign in and out on the class roster and submit this to the course instructor or program manager.
The work day hours may be 9am-12pm, 12pm-3pm or 6pm-9pm.
Monroe, Newburgh and Middletown locations.
