Your Impact:
As a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped, you will:
- Assess and understand each student’s needs to maximize their speech-language proficiency and communication effectiveness.
- Conduct individual and group sessions, support with push-in services as appropriate, and collaborate regularly with classroom teachers.
- Develop and implement instructional strategies, materials, and environments that enhance students' speech and language functioning.
- Regularly evaluate short-term objectives to track progress.
- Share your expertise by training special education personnel and parents in augmentative and alternative communication systems.

What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Valid teaching credential for Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Speech and Language Disabilities.
